100/10!!!! The Andy's chips, wakame roll, and Crazy tiger roll were amazing! Our waitress was beyond helpful and the atmosphere was beautiful! We will definitely be back next time I visit!

This is my favorite sushi spot in the state if I'm being honest. I've tried multiple different spots for something similar to the cowboy roll (the one with the seared steak on top) and NOTHING compares. I will come here every time just for that roll. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and very attentive. It's so cute and relaxing in the restaurant and you never feel rushed. I tried oysters for the first time here and let me tell you, I'm definitely a fan now. You can easily spend $100 here but the way to do it is going with a group and splitting items. I enjoy the happy hour menu and the seasonal menus as it's always changing and there are items you may never thought to try before. I was surprised by how much I liked the elote roll as I would never think to put corn on sushi but it did not disappoint. 5/5 experience every single time!

Wakame has the absolute best sushi happy hour around! The restaurant is typically very busy, so I would recommend making a reservation if possible. During the summer months there is both indoor and outdoor seating which is also a bonus! I loved that as it got later in the day and darker outside, they dimmed the lights a bit and added candles to each table to make the ambiance feel more intimate. Our group got a variety of rolls and each were amazing. There are also quite a few vegetarian roll options and other menu items that non sushi eaters can order. I will always continue to come back and recommend Wakame to anyone looking for high quality sushi around the twin cities!

Great happy hour and huge space! Very fast services and great food! My friend and I got a couple of rolls and were stuffed! Love this spot! Plus Ben and Jerry is a few doors down!

Stop by for happy hour with two friends. The food was excellent. Our waiter was very well informed about the menu. They had great recommendations. Food was fresh. The music was really loud. But they did have their own parking lot which was free. Happy hour prices were excellent.

As someone who is still new to Sushi, I'd say this is my #1 place to go. The location can be hard to park in due to it being in a section of a couple shopping centers and how popular it is. It's always clean and looks classy but you are also welcome in while wearing jeans and a hoodie. You'll often see the owner touching tables and talking to regulars. Now for the food. They have 2 happy hours an early one and a late night. This is a great way to save a little but try a lot of things. If you are not into sushi (as I used to not be) there are plenty of options on the menu to choose from. The rolls are made fresh to order and I'll never turn down a delicious wonton. If you've never been, I'd highly recommend you stop by. They even have tvs to catch games on at the bar. Great date night spot or a night with friends.

Never a bad experience going to Wakame. We got there at 9:30pm on a Saturday and were immediately sat down. I was happy we didnt have to wait a while this time. I like the vibe at Wakame. Its just people enjoying their time having good food. The food was great as per usual. I always end up ordering way too much food and I can never have enough Wakame. Overall Food & Vibe 9.1/10

Like tradition each year a group of friends gather to celebrate the birthday of a good friend who has moved out of state but comes back for a few weeks to reminisce of his days in the Twin Cities, and without hesitation we book Wakame for our group dinner. Our party of 8-10 has consistently been sat at the large table by the front door, and despite the hustle and bustle of a 7p primetime slot we were given fantastic service from Emily, no matter how big or small our requests. From beverages of beers and sake, to appetizers of spring rolls, spicy wings (even a 2 was hot) and curry muscles (which seemed to have a "fishier" smell than in the past) set the stage for the main course: sushi! My wife and I shared the love boat (which still left plenty to take home) and our friends got the BMW (a favorite) and a few others rolls along with a friend getting the curry meal. Plus as a cherry on top they brought our friend a slice of cake for his birthday, which was exceptional (after stealing a bite). Pricing wise costs were a little lower than some of the other popular spots in town, work great quality and good service. Highly recommended!

The happy hour here has some great deals! There are a mix of basic and signature rolls on the happy hour menu. I tried the monkey roll and spicy salmon roll, which were both tasty and very filling. We went around 5:30 on a Thursday and got the last table on the patio. The inside was also packed, which is always a great sign! Our server was really nice and it's a convenient spot right by the lake.
